Having joined the
D.W.S. in June 2001 Angela is a relative newcomer to the organisation.
However, she was born and raised in Doncaster and has been involved in
both musical and theatrical activities locally since the age of 10 years. Angela
studied the clarinet at the Junior Department of the Guildhall School of Music
with Rosie Moss, at Trinity College of Music with Pete Howes and at Bretton Hall
with Tony Houghton. She also studied singing with Jean Allister and is herself
an accomplished pianist. Having gained her degree in Music and as a qualified
secondary Music teacher, she now works as a woodwind peripatetic teacher for
Doncaster Local authority. Angela’s interest in singing has also led her to
take part in several amateur operatic musical productions, therefore gaining
valuable experience on both sides of the stage. Angela’s
qualifications, experience and enthusiasm have already proved to be a major
asset to the Doncaster Wheatsheaf Singers and Wheatsheaf Junior Choir. Simon Corner, BMus (Hons)
